Have you got a strong track record of process improvements?
If so we have an exciting opportunity to join a market leading metal organisation supplying products to the automotive, architectural, food and industrial markets as a Process Engineer.
This role is both open to a graduate or an experienced person who will concentrate on improving/introducing new processes into manufacturing, as well as improving productivity and quality.

Responsibilities of the Process Engineer:
Provide support for resolution of day to day technical process issues in Manufacturing, driving continuous improvement
Assist the engineering department with Mechanical and technical issues affecting the production process
Support corrective and preventative action activities
Root cause analysis
Introducing new processes, techniques, products into manufacturing.
Develop specifications in partnership with outside tooling/equipment/material manufacturers and make recommendations for procurement.
Good knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and improvement methodologies
Analyse daily metrics and use data driven decision to improve processes and generate reports to document
Evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment to identify and recommend machinery upgrades that could increase efficiency or quality

Qualifications/Experience of the Process Engineer:
Honours Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
Excellent PC skills
Able to read technical drawings
Able to use measuring equipment (micrometers/verniers)
Experience of manufacturing best practice (SMED 5S etc)
Experience of sheet metal processing and material properties is desirable
