The client
Our client is a diverse business that services clients across the Automotive, Off road, Aerospace, Defence and Rail Industry. Having recently been taken over, there is renewed investment in the site and an uptake of workload across its multiple business functions.
We are currently looking for a Site Coordinator - Infrastructure and Facilities
Main focus of the role
The successful candidate for the role of Site Coordinator - Infrastructure and Facilities will support the technical delivery of major maintenance and construction works across our 700-acre site, ensuring that agreed projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Site Coordinator - Infrastructure and Facilities will revolve around the following:
?? Scoping, planning and estimating the construction element of works
?? Designing or design coordination of works
?? Assembly of tender documentation
?? Forward planning of site strategy and projects
?? Analysis of tendered proposals
?? Site safety management / CDM2015
?? Management of contractors
?? Management of suppliers including interface between technical and construction suppliers
?? Problem solving relating to conflicts between suppliers
?? Financial control of works
?? Working with the user groups to support their ambitions for future projects
?? Organizing the design of a building, office or workshop, estimating the costs and assisting the Purchasing department in the tender process
Required Experience & qualifications
The ideal candidate for the role of Site Coordinator - Infrastructure and Facilities will have a minimum HNC or HND Construction (or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering given appropriate experience). You will have experience with construction management, planning or design role from either client side or contractor side or associated profession. Experience in the planning and delivery of technical test facilities would be a significant benefit. Knowledge in developing briefs with Technical Engineers and estimating is required for the role.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and use of MS Project is required for this position. The Site Coordinator will be an AutoCAD user, and have a good understanding of construction process. This role requires flexibility to travel as and when required. You will need a full UK driving license and have SC clearance or have the ability to achieve this. Candidates must be willing to undergo a DBS disclosure check. Advertised through Zoek.
