Hire & Sales Assistant required for a busy independent tool & plant hire company based in Woking, Surrey

Key Responsibilities: -

As one of our Hire & Sales Assistants you will be responsible for the processing of hires, sales and customer queries both in our shop and on the telephone professionally and efficiently. You should display a good understanding of the requirements of our customers to provide excellent service in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner.

Key Duties: -
• Taking and processing orders for tools and plant hires
• Processing power tool, hand tool, PPE and accessory sales within our shop
• Processing repairs within the shop (booking in, customer queries, quoting, and final invoicing)
• Be proactive in learning about new products and have an understanding of our range of products both for hire and sale
• Trained in HireGuard insurance to 'sell' to our customers
• Liaising with staff members & customers
• Ensuring that the shop is always well stocked
• Delivering equipment at busy times
• Assisting the Hire, Sales & Service managers as they require
• Working effectively in a small team
• Keeping work environment clean and tidy
• Partaking in promotional events
• Partaking in training courses
• Maintain Health & Safety to HSE & Company Standards
• Attaining and maintaining training and competence standards and qualification as are legally and operationally required for you to carry out your key duties
• As part of the role you will also be expected to assist within the depot team as required

Requirements: -
• Previous experience within the tool hire industry
• A knowledge of power tools, plant and other hire equipment
• High regard to customer satisfaction
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical approach to problem solving and an ability to resolve them effectively
• Able to work without instruction and to take responsibility
• Work well under pressure
• Clean, current driving license
• Ability to learn about new products and understanding the basics of them
• Good organisation skills - an ability to plan and prioritise workloads
• Have a good knowledge of IT systems.
• A high level of accuracy is essential
