Key Responsibilities: Main Activities Dealing with all enquiries on the hire desk and converting them into hire businessResponsible for receiving orders (Onhires) and requests for collections/ off hires and planning transport for deliveries and collections Efficient running and coordinating of internal and external haulageCalculating and supply of quotesDealing with damages, calculating costs, liaising with customers regarding damages and ensuring payment is received Information To provide accurate and timely information as required by the CompanyReview weekly data to identify the efficiency of the hire desk operationEnsure Company reports are completed on deadline Technical To demonstrate and maintain an understanding of our product range in order to sell the key benefits to our customers Dealing with Customers To proactively work jointly with all departments and colleagues across the range of functions to ensure we deliver the highest level of customer service on a consistent basisDeal with customer enquiries and resolve issuesProvide guidance and information to customers on equipmentMaintaining an effective and positive relationship with customers and other depots/ departmentsBuild customer relationships to retain existing businessEnsuring that all opportunities to maximise the Depots sales to a customer are attained Management of People/ Team Performance management and development of direct reports in accordance with HR policies and procedures, including regular contact, onetoone meetings, performance reviews, etcOversee the selection, induction, performance appraisal and development of your team to ensure an overall increase in knowledge, experience, responsibility and individual accountability for work related actionsMaintaining good discipline and reporting any misconduct or capability issuesPut in place strategies and plans to improve Hire Desk performance and crosssellingEnsure individuals are aware of objectives and their contribution to the team Systems Ensure the Management Systems are adhered to within your area of responsibilityProcessing all input to IT systems and paperwork relating to onhires, offhires and stock transfers, etcEnsure all paperwork is coordinated with delivery of equipmentReview and develop efficient administration processes to support the hire desk Advertised through Zoek.
