Reporting to the Ground Safety Manager, the Ground Safety Investigator is responsible for supporting the continuous development of all Ground Operations elements of the company Safety Management System (SMS). This role is a focal point for all Ground Operations Safety activity.
You will conduct and allocate safety investigations as they occur, ensuring root cause identification and appropriate corrective and preventative actions. This will include undertaking Safety Audits and Risk Assessments as required and analysis of incidents and accidents. You will support and promote the company's Just Culture as well as the anonymous and confidential reporting facility whilst identifying trends through continual analysis. In addition, you will carry out Safety Management System (SMS) training and be actively involved in the Company's Emergency Response Team where required.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of practical Ground Handling Operations and a good understanding of IATA AHM and IGOM manuals. You will have experience in the Management of Safety, preferably in a Ground Handling environment with a logical, questioning and thorough approach to work. Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports is vital to the success of this role.
