The Senior Manager Quality Assurance role is based within Internal Audit .

The role of the Senior Manager Quality Assurance is to A Global Role reporting to the Head of Global Quality Assurance, this is a key role within the GBL INA Professional Practices team and the job holder will be responsible for undertaking Quality Assurance, as part of a team providing independent, objective review, evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness of GBL INA. The jobholder has a wide scope covering GBL INA globally, including all Audit teams both global and regional.

Interface will be at senior levels within GBL INA and with other stakeholders and peers, internally and externally. The job holder will also assist with support to global training initiatives relating to audit processes and audit capability and skills development.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assist in the implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework across INA. Assist in the delivery of the annual QA review plan. Manage and lead QA reviews. This may require solo completion of reviews or leading or managing a team. In conjunction with the Head of Global Professional Practices, assist in the development and delivery of appropriate global training programmes to various levels of management and staff within INA to ensure knowledge and skills is appropriate across global and regional audit teams. Interact with and represent INA throughout the Group at various levels of management. Interface with senior management across INA to ensure an integrated approach across all aspects of audit policies and processes. Pro-active sharing of best practices across INA. Developing audit staff by assisting in the development of and, where appropriate, delivery of training globally. Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets. Provide support to the Head of Global Professional Practices in leading and managing the global professional practices function. Maintain and develop positive and professional relationships with the senior management within INA. Cultivate a positive and collaborative working environment within the INA Central function. Manage and implement training initiatives. Communicates effectively with all audit staff. Assists in reassessing audit methodologies used across INA to ensure the efficient use of resources to derive the maximum benefit to the function. Works to INA and IIA standards. Identifies opportunities and recommends ways of improving QA polices and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of QA work. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Ensure training initiatives are delivered to the intended audience efficiently and effectively.


Qualifications


The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Role relevant qualifications, i.e. ACAMS Certification Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. FCC First or Second Line A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service A track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes

The base location for this role is Birmingham.
