We are looking for a Construction Supervisor (mechanical bias) with Petrochemical or another hazardous areas industry experience, for a 6 months+ contract in the Blackpool area. Pay rate of circa GBP30-35 Ltd or Umbrella rate per hour, or the PAYE equivalent of preferred.
Working as the successful Construction Supervisor (mechanical bias), you will have a NEBOSH General Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or SMSTS and a good understanding of construction industry quality standards and acceptable standards of workmanship and requirements.
Essential experience:
*Experience working in a petro chemical or similar regulated environment.
*Must have a significant / relevant experience of supervising construction related works including management of sub-contract labour including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical contracts.
*Experienced in the production and implementation of construction phase plans and the review of job specific method statements and risk assessments.
*Experienced in safety auditing, inspections, inductions and near miss reporting.
*Chairing planning and progress meetings with the client and sub-contractors.
*Experienced in the issue of permits to work.
*Implementing and monitoring quality plans.
*Able to assess information, evaluate solutions and devise appropriate course of action.
*Good communication skills.
*Computer literate in basic Microsoft IT skills.
*Must have good observational skills especially in relating to quality issues.
The client we are recruiting this Construction Supervisor (mechanical bias) for is a successful North West company providing full project management, design, construction and engineering services to a mix of established process engineering clients.
