Meeting and Events Sales Executive - Hoar Cross, Burton-on-Trent
Key Responsibilities:
To find new meeting and events business for the hotel by way of:
To consistently achieve monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
20 appointments, 4 client events & 2 networking events.
New business appointments - minimum 10 per month
Minimum 10 appointments per month to be off site at client site
Conduct 4 client events (FAM trips, client's entertaining. etc.) per month 2 of which to be newly sourced clients.
Generate minimum 50 new sales leads per month for the hotel and Head of sales.
Convert new sales leads into profitable for bookings for the hotel
With the support from Head of Sales and Sales office Manager, implement the defined
Pro-active sales actions from the Sales and Marketing Plan.
Prospect and convert new meeting and events business from key segments for the Hotel, achieving new business targets.
Plan, prepare and proactively lead monthly sales blitzes for new business by achieving a minimum new call volume of 150 new business calls to maximise sales lead opportunities for the hotel meetings and events segment, but not exclusive to.
Identify and proactively represent the Hotel at industry events and local networking events/opportunities to raise hotel profile and build referral network.
Responsible for accurately forecasting the business 3, 6, 12 & 24 months out
Responsible for producing month end P&L Analysis and presenting to Head of Sales
Develop and manage a portfolio of client accounts, build & maintain key relationships
Accurately plan, price and check invoicing for every event, ensure working closely with the operational teams to deliver successful events from start to finish and follow up to ensure strong repeat business base
Ensure accurate data entry and upkeep
Debtor listing is kept within the companies standard of 30 days
Work closely with other members of the sales team to develop new and existing accounts
Utilising Market Intelligence reports ensure comprehensive competitor knowledge within local territory maintained, targeting sales action accordingly to grow market share.
Achieve maximum revenue targets for meetings and events.
To perform any other reasonable task as requested by management.

Other duties:
To maintain confidentiality on all of the Resorts matters at all times.
To display a positive and professional attitude to colleagues and customers.
To comply with company image standards.
To comply with statutory and company regulations relating to Health and safety, food hygiene, licensing regulations, fire procedures and security of premises and property.
It is expected that to conduct this role weekend work and evenings hours are required.
