Long Haul Sales Specialist - Newcastle upon Tyne
Reporting to: Long Haul General Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time working would be considered)
Mon - Fri 9.00am - 9.00pm, Sat & Sun 9.00am - 5.00pm on a rota basis
Role Summary
The role will focus on selling a range of long haul products within a specialist team, providing expert advice and offering exceptional service to all customers.
Key Responsibilities
To sell and book long haul holidays from telephone and email enquiries and establishing the customers travel needs to provide the right product and destination
Deliver exceptional customer service through genuine relationship management and a desire to exceed customer needs
Maximise all sales opportunities through, switch selling, up-selling and offering holiday extras
Provide expert travel advice on all long haul product and destinations
Follow up all sales opportunities by conducting call backs to customers
Capture and record required client information
Support all promotional & marketing activity
Be proactive in sourcing long haul product to support marketing campaigns
Achieve all monthly key KPI's, including conversion, volume and margins
Keep up to date with the latest long haul news and products
Extend product and destination knowledge through supplier training and own research
Skills Required
High awareness of long haul campaigns, with substantial knowledge of the long haul industry and products and what sells effectively
A passion for long haul with a minimum of 1 years recent experience of selling long haul destinations
Demonstrable record of achieving KPI's, with the ability to sell confidently and turn enquiries into sales
Exceptional customer services skills with experience of working in a customer focused environment
Excellent telephone manner and listening skills with the ability to anticipate customers' needs
Ability to switch sell and promote and sell holiday extras
Ability to source and recognise long haul deals
Excellent communication skills and the ability to sell the benefits of long haul holidays over the telephone
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to use Microsoft packages - e.g. Word and Outlook
A genuine desire to achieve results, both personally and as part of a successful team

To undertake any other duties that may fall into the job criteria

To treat all employees, customer and suppliers with dignity and respect
