Salary details: Up to GBP31,522 - GBP39,107 depending on experience (includes basic salary of GBP29,323 - GBP36,379 + an annual retention payment of 7.5%) & excellent benefits

Rotherham Borough Council is excited to be recruiting a full-time, Fostering Duty Social Worker to join our friendly and supportive fostering team. The candidate that we are looking for will have enthusiasm and ambition to be able to negotiate high quality placements that meet the needs of Rotherham's Looked After Children. You will be driven and motivated to promote an empathic understanding of the needs of looked after children across the service. You will be genuinely interested in delivering a high quality service that is grounded in providing an environment for children's emotional health and wellbeing to thrive and flourish in safe, stable and permanent placements.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is investing significantly in its Fostering Service in order to increase the number of foster carers and to achieve the best outcomes for our looked after children.

The ideal person will be equipped with good communication skills, have excellent organisational abilities, will be able to work in a high pressured environment and have the ability to joint work what at times can be complex service needs.

If you are interested and have experience of working in Fostering Supervisory Team, this could be the ideal role for you.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in UK, be social work qualified, have a clean driving licence and be HCPC registered.
