Bristol Airport - Baggage handler / Ramp Operative

Full Time
Ongoing contract up until 31st October with a view to a permanent role
24 hour shift pattern including nights
You must hold a full UK/EU drivers licence

Duties:

- Load and unload aircraft luggage weighing up to 32 Kilos
- Be able to work in confined spaces and from heights
- Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all times Monitor Customer safety during boarding/offloading of aircraft and assist Customers where necessary
- Marshall aircraft on the ramp (includes directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft)
- Transfer of baggage
- Observe safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checks
- Comply with all safety procedures and Station Policies
- Assist in ramp set-up and storage of equipment and baggage
- Communicate with Operations, Flight Crew personnel and other ground personnel.

Candidates Must:

- Provide a full 5 year checkable history on registration
- Provide a basic Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check (Cost of which to be met by candidate)
- Have no criminal record, or any unspent convictions
- Be willing to work all assigned shifts covering a 24 hour operation, including weekends and bank holidays
- Be at least 18 years a eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK/EU drivers licence
- Have current and valid photo ID
- Have proof of NI Number
- Will be required to pass a colour blindness test
- A maximum commute of 45 minutes to Bristol Airport at the time of application
- ??7.87 per hour
