We are working with a leading claims management organisation in Slough that are looking to add to their technical claims team. You will be responsible for a caseload of third party motor claims from initial review through to settlement. You will ensure all claims are handled with maximum technical efficiency whilst following strict regulatory rules and guidelines.
Role Responsibilities:
* Handle a caseload of third party motor claims, ensuring pro-active management, technical proficiency, excellent levels of customer service and strict adherence to regulatory rules including TCF
* Work closely with the Claims Manager on technical process improvement and reporting
* Liaise with suppliers, third parties and legal professionals where necessary
* Manage and develop customer relationships ensuring business growth
* Liability & Quantum investigations
* Identify potentially fraudulent claims
* Vendor management and cost control
* Authorise payments and reserve payments on cases within authority
* Ensure best practice across the department
Skills / Experience Required:
* 3+ year's experience in a third party motor role, with strong knowledge of liability
* Strong commercial awareness of the motor insurance claims market
* Strong understanding of claims and industry regulatory rules
* Strong negotiation and influencing ability
* Previous experience of mentoring more junior claims staff
* Ability to act as a technical referral point within the team
* Degree educated preferred but not essential
* CII Cert preferred but not essential
