Senior Embedded Systems Engineer required to join our Manufacturing Client based in Stourbridge. You will be joining a small R&D team and if you are the right candidate you will have a really good understanding of embedded systems (electronics or software).


This is a rare opportunity to join our client as they prepare to launch their new products onto the market and your primary responsibility is the system design of the products which will include: systems analysis and modelling, the development of requirements, traceability analysis and the creation of test specifications.

The demand for clean technology is growing and they are firmly involved. Our client design, develop and manufacture innovative cleaning products and solutions for the international market place and we need to find talent that can come on board and expand their horizons with a progressive and inventive company!


Knowledge / Skills / Experience:

  • A minimum of a PhD qualification in Electronics Engineering or other closely related subject, specifically on the topic of real-time and performance improvements in embedded systems
  • Be able to demonstrate experience with:
  • Unix-based systems, especially Linux
  • Embedded Platforms (FPGA, SoC etc)
  • Algorithm development and mathematical modeling
  • Embedded systems in image processing, real-time critical and robotics applications
  • Programming in C, C++, Python, Verilog, OpenCV
  • Xlinx hardware platforms and associated tools and Modelsim,
  • Device driver development
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience of working within software/hardware development teams,
  • A substantial record of publications in relevant international journals and conferences
  • Well-developed/advanced personal and presentation skills
  • Experience of working within software/hardware development teams
  • Enthusiasm for research with proven lateral thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to be a team player, work accurately under pressure with minimal supervision and maximum enthusiasm to ensure customer satisfaction with the company's products

Salary: £30k-£35k pa
