Our clients’ are looking to recruit an Interim Team Manager to be based in Guildford.

This is an interim opportunity to cover maternity leave and will be considered on a part-time basis. The role is to lead their Guildford team of property experts delivering professional, agency, building consultancy, valuations and land development services to their key sectors within the South East.

This will be achieved through proactive client relationship management, the effective setting and then delivery of the companies Guildford local plan, as well as effective working with their Executive, and their office network, to support company wide growth initiatives. If the candidate undertakes additional hours there may be the opportunity to earn fees.

This role is required to truly lead their Guildford team, ensuring their people develop their skills as they grow turnover and deliver team profit.

The job will require someone who is working in professional services including those outside of property. An experienced team member with excellent track record of delivering a similar role would be an advantage.

You will have strong client relationships and the necessary confidence and ambition to achieve their plans to successfully grow their client base across the South East.
Qualifications: Degree educated with professional qualifications would be an advantage. You may be qualified as a Member of the RICS but this is not essential.

Essential criteria
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a confidence to communicate effectively.
  • Market facing with a proven track record in communicating effectively.
  • Ability, and track record, to set personal fee targets and business targets for the team.
  • The ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion, with ability to delegate and then develop high calibre employees.
  • The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • The ability to learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change.
  • The ability to accept responsibility and lead by example.
  • A very proactive approach to work.
  • A good working knowledge of IT and a full driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop company strategy through their local plan.
  • Review and deliver the local plan including delivery of agreed targets.
  • Client Manager for key clients.
  • Ensure delivery of service from the company’s’ team, accurately and on time.
  • Assist in the delivery of agreed financial targets and be responsible for managing own performance whilst exceeding in core technical skills.
  • To attend training sessions and team meetings.
  • Raise the profile of the company in the local market.
