Care Worker

Love working in elderly care but worried about not getting enough hours? Home Care Preferred are recruiting for a 30 hour per week guaranteed hours post to care for our clients in the Enfield area and surrounding areas such as Barnet and Haringey.

The ideal candidate must be able to drive, have a full clean driving licence and preferably access to own care but not essential. This role will include working every other weekend and some early / late calls. Actual salary £13,260 (equivalent to £8.50 per hour) – plus the opportunity to work overtime if you wish.

Ideally, you will have some experience caring for the elderly – either professionally or within a family setting. You will be highly motivated, reliable, organised and be able to care for our clients with compassion and confidence right from your first visit. If you are not qualified or your qualifications are not up to date we will train you free of charge prior to starting.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Engage in companionship
• Arrange appointments
• Escort service to healthcare and social appointments
• Light housekeeping tasks
• Meal preparation
• Medication support
• Encourage and support with personal care including incontinence issues in a way that is respectful and promotes individual needs and rights
• Complete client reports

The following attributes are essential:

• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Live in or very close to Winchmore Hill in North London
• Have experience in care either within a professional or personal basis
• Have good spoken and understanding of the English language
