Randstad Education is working with an academy in South London serving pupils in South Norwood and Croydon. Their aim is to ensure that all their pupils leave highly qualified, personable and articulate young people ready to lead happy and enriching adult lives.
If you are motivated by the success of your pupils, this SEN Learning Support Assistant opportunity at a mainstream secondary school in South London is perfect for you. The school is a work in progress, opened in 2015 it has a current total of 270 students on roll, 55% of which are in receipt of the Pupil Premium and 11% classified as DSEN. The Academy has a Designated Resource Provision for 15 students with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The school is adding a year group each academic year and will therefore be at full capacity in September 2019.
This a full time role from May 2017, and would be perfectly suited to both experienced learning support assistants who are able to work with pupils in groupd and 121 settings, who are committed to supporting at the highest standard, raising the aspirations and achievements of their students.
To be considered for this role you must be an empathetic and amiable Teaching Assistant who has experience working with SEN and has the ability to create positive relationships with your colleagues and pupils. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to motivate their pupils through an engaging approach to learning. The school's perfect candidate is someone who can show a faultless work ethic that will ensure they're an individual who children will emulate. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion to help support all areas of child development with those who have special educational needs. . You will be required to provide support across this resource base in KS3 and 4 and will provide 1:1 support as and when required.The ideal candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or CACHE Equivalent
- Exeperience of supporting pupils on a 121 basis
- Able to monitor pupil's progress and keep records of their development,
