Located in Northampton, our client is a top web development firm and one of the longest standing digital agencies in the UK (1997), with a clear track record of success in SEO for customers across a range of industry sectors. With several hundred active clients specialising in regional ambitious businesses, our client is growing steadily.
About the Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced and quality SEO and Web Marketing professional to join their established busy team, based in Northampton.
The role includes developing and implementing search engine relevancy and optimisation strategies on clients' (approx 20-30) websites, to monitor and enhance their positioning, rankings, ux and conversion potential, and to create and manage Adwords, Google Shopping, Social Media, Content/Email Marketing, Outreach and other online marketing activities on a continuous improvement basis. Analyse, strategise, A/B testing, goals and funnels, research, report and communicate effectively complex and mature strategies.
The candidate will work closely with clients (including proprietors, directors and managers) and team members to communicate strategies and results to help them grow their businesses and sales, and also to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest requirements of Google, other major search engines and changes in the online marketing environment generally.
The successful candidate will manage their own workload, drive projects forwards, and contribute to the development of the department.

About You:
They seek an organised, methodical, knowledgeable, persuasive, goal seeking and self-motivated individual to join the team.
You will have a good knowledge of how search engine optimisation works and the respective roles of on-site and off-site content, capable of complex strategies, as well as pay per click experience (specifically Adwords). You will also be experienced in using web master tools and Google Analytics, including setting up ecommerce tracking, goals and funnels and using A/B testing methods. Google qualifications are preferred.
Ideally the candidate will have client facing and account management experience, and from an agency or multi-client environment so you can demonstrate you can deal with multiple clients and will have benefited from cross sector experience as well as broad exposure across all the main internet marketing disciplines.
You will be skilled enough to be able to write articles and reports when necessary, and be competent with Excel, spreadsheets and working with and explaining report figures and statistics. Organised to manage projects and driven for success.
Competency in basic HTML (at least from an SEO point of view) is useful, and some knowledge of dynamic website programming using PHP / ASP would be advantageous (although they do have a development team).
Very good written and verbal English is a requirement of the position, and you should enjoy talking with clients and presenting your ideas and the recommended strategies, and be persuasive when talking with business owners and directors.
