Risk Operations Manager
A leading provider of financial services investments, savings and protection products, is seeking a Risk Operations Manager to join their recently restructured Risk department.
You will take main responsibility for leading the planning of activity across the CRO's function and monitor the progress against objectives and agreed deliverables. You will also drive the communication of risk management initiatives and expectations to the business and work with the team to provide effective risk partnering, providing oversight and challenge to projects and BAU activity. This is in the main a planning role that will require you to develop, maintain and track a developmental plan and BAU calendar of activity to build capability covering the whole Risk and Governance activity, working closely with the department to ensure timely delivery against these plans and highlight any areas where intervention is required. You will also draft Board reports to communicate progress against those plans.
You will have experience of building and monitoring delivery of activity plans to agreed timescales within the insurance industry, ideally within a risk management arena. You will have a good understanding of operational risks facing the financial services sector and an understanding of the requirements of Solvency II.
