You will be interested in this contract interim position and the opportunity to join our Engineering team during the start up stages of one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in the world. Our client is a leading global paints and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals, with over 47000 employees, in 80 countries supplying decorative and specialist paint solutions to customers worldwide.
Job Description
Actively involved in the startup of operations on site ensuring the technology reaches a state where it becomes ready for full production.
Key Responsibilities
Actively improves HSE&S, Sustainability and Quality standards on site through the use of continuous improvement methodologies.
Investigates root cause of process failures and develops solutions for non-conforming product and implements improvement plans.
Competencies Required
Working knowledge of HAZOP, Risk Assessment, Audit, HSE plans.
Experience in the batch chemical process industry is desirable.
Overriding understanding of legislation and knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX.
Knowledge, or ability to gain knowledge, of the paint manufacturing process.
Knowledge of TPM, Quality Assurance and continuous improvement methodologies
Work to agreed and documented standard operating procedures to ensure world class safety and quality are maintained at all times
