Are you a support worker that fancies an interesting career change, helping people with mental health support needs that are struggling in the work place?

You will use your skills to help people that are in work and face challenges which could include work place bullying, stress in the work place or dealing with work place relationship breakdowns. You will typically have a caseload of around 30 clients, and most will have a mental health support need as a result of their current situation, and have been referred across from the local IAPT service. This is a cutting edge contract, aimed at helping people in the work place resolve work based issues, or to help them to change jobs and develop new careers. A typical day to day task could include helping a client write a grievance letter to HR, sitting in on meetings with the employer or providing general advice on how to approach a work based situation. Or, delivering job search support, helping your clients apply for new roles, write cover letters and prepare for interviews for a
new career.

You will be based from their High Wycombe office, but will be working out and about in the community, meeting clients in coffee shops or libraries. Around half the clients are on sick leave, so you can easily see them during the day, but some are currently in work, so you need to be a little flexible with the odd evening here or there, but the charity operate a TOIL system, as well as 25 days annual leave (plus bank hols) and are a recognised Investor in People Silver - meaning they look after their staff.

To apply, you must have experience of providing advice and guidance to people with mental health support needs. The charity are huge, but the service is quite small at present (3 staff) but expanding to 10 quite soon, so there could be further opportunities on the horizon. They also offer heaps of learning and development opportunities to develop their staff.
