Amplifon are currently recruiting for a 9month Fixed Term Contract Supply Chain Manager internally known as Product and Logistics Manager in our Support Office in Manchester near to the airport. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is responsible for all product & logistical management ensuring systems, catalogues and technical know-how are maintained and disseminated throughout the business, whilst ensuring our product strategy raises the bar both technologically and financially.

Product & Logistical Support

Manage the introduction of new products. This encompasses; ensuring the maximum benefit is maintained from new technology, maintaining product road maps, staff and customers are fully educated on the benefits, software updates are maintained and internal communications are completed.

Efficient and accurate processing, updating and maintenance of database records and literature related to hearing aids and other products, including MDM, price cards and product feature lists.

Build healthy opportunistic partnerships with key suppliers, ensuring contracts are enforced, SLA's adhered to and prices are constantly negotiated.

Ownership of annual supplier budget and monitoring performance targets, analysis of product sales and cancellation / exchanges trend.

With the assistance of the finance department, ensure all reporting and forecasting is accurate, provided on a timely basis and in line with expectations.

Maintain and grow the relationship with corporate through clear budget submissions, reporting of exceptions to forecast and budget, participation in global projects and maintaining regular communication channels.

Ensure branches and customers receive quality product on time through detailed review of logistical data, complaint handling, and branch feedback. Regular communication with the front line is non-negotiable.

With the assistance of the finance and internal audit departments, ensure stock levels are maintained at the most efficient levels and goods are returned to suppliers on time.

Manage the central warehouse (postroom) function ensuring timely delivery of branch orders and maintaining adequate stock levels.

With the assistance of the internal audit department, ensure branch stocktakes are processed and completed on a quarterly basis.

Ownership of the Logistics department processes in line with corporate standards and Italian Law 262.

To support operations and marketing in the production of sales initiatives and campaigns and sign off of any product related information.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

Evaluate the performance of all direct reports, in both qualitative and quantitative terms, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis in accordance with company performance management guidelines including regular 1:1's and the annual appraisal process.

Provide timely and clear feedback to all direct reports on their performance, providing clear evidence to support feedback and providing guidance for developing performance where appropriate.

Identify training needs and commission appropriate training support to address specific areas of performance development where appropriate.

Deliver effective communications throughout the business, cascading key company messages, departmental within relevant timelines.

TEAM MEMBERSHIP

Contribute actively to the development of value adding innovation, business development and best practice to drive performance in the short and medium term.

ESSENTIAL

- Strong technical knowledge of hearing aids and associated items
- Proven skills and experience of people management
- Strong Excel skills

DESIRABLE

- Experience working for a hearing aid manufactuer or witihin the industry.
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft and GOAL operating systems
