Senior PV Performance Manager. Location: Midlands Salary: GBP65,000- GBP75,000!

Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking an experienced, and Senior, Technical PV Performance Manager to join a leading Renewable Energy, and specialist Solar PV team. This role is for a specialist Solar company and therefore requires the ideal candidate to be a strong Team leader; key in driving performance standards and being integral in optimising its entire portfolio of Solar assets.

The role involves the successful candidate heading up and being responsible for oversight of the specialist team, base in the South West of the UK

Responsibilities:

- Regularly required to wire and provide software setup for devices on site; including issue handling and overall monitoring, troubleshooting/system checks
- Relied upon, along-side subcontractors, for the optimising, configuring and technically developing the alarm systems and early warning indicators for the PV monitoring systems, in turn saving the company money and ensuring the smooth operation of the infrastructure
- Taking a lead role and offering guidance and support to all technical and general staff within the specialist team; leading by example
- Develop systems for analyses and useful insight via discussed and implemented processes. To then ensure these processes are followed in an optimal, timely and accurate manner, allowing high standards of monitoring and the production of performance reports; in line clients expectations
- To engage on a regular basis with technically minded business contacts, in the software arena, to develop leading edge analysis and automation services and solutions; designed to improve the capabilities of the assets under supervision
- Support on new client acquisition and strategic acquirement, providing strong case studies based on historic plant performance and a good eye for opportunities; be they new business or improvement on current assets

Essential Requirements:

- Ideally qualified to Degree Level or above with relevant Engineering specialism. However, solid experience in any relevant field to the same standard would be considered advantageous too
- A broad and solid knowledge of the drivers of PV asset performance, as well as having a finger on the pulse of the Solar industry, from a wealth of technical and business/commercial experience
- Strong technical knowledge of a wide variety of systems used for the monitoring and analysis of PV solar assets (monitoring, analytic software etc.)
- Excellent technical and commercial understanding of industrial and/or Mega Watt -scale solar (from plants, to large solar farms, commercial/large scale domestic assets)
- Strong knowledge of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, coupled with solid O&M lifecycle experience, within the Solar PV industry
- Knowledge of FiTs, ROCs, CFDs and any relevant legislation, regulations and procedures
- High standards of IT literacy and software knowledge (specifically advanced Excel skills and other Microsoft suites are a key essential)
- Ideal candidate must possess naturally strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal and external, verbal and written, communication skills
