Our Client Coverage Group will be responsible for creating senior, strategic and early engagement with our clients on their business mix, capital structure and financial needs/solutions in partnership with relevant IB&M product specialists and Risk and other support partners. The role will be responsible for delivering a sharp industry focus and overall relationship management for our existing and target clients within the Industrials & Logistics sectors, including Aviation, Rail and Shipping. The main duties and responsibilities of the job: - Be a thought leader for the Industrials & Logistics sectors and provide unique insights into market and industry conditions (e.g. trends and themes) impacting CBA and its clients. - Develop, lead and own relationships and partnerships with senior management of existing and potential UK and European clients, which involves: Proactively identifying opportunities to increase market penetration for identified needs and developing client engagement strategy. Providing reactive support (i.e. inbound requests for tenders/services from a client) for capital markets/strategic services. Work in partnership with internal business partners to ensure the strategy for the sector is in line with the overall IB&M business proposition, drive efficiencies in servicing clients throughout the sales cycle, (for instance, working in conjunction with Relationship Support / Product / Risk) and share industry insights and 'best practice' across Coverage teams. Success in the role will be measured by achieving the following key priorities: Deeper client coverage and engagement - Creating frequent and early strategic engagement with clients at the most senior levels on key drivers in their industry and their own businesses: such as asset mix, the relative strength of businesses they are in or should or should not be in, capital structure and investor access. Delivery on revenue, new business origination, product cross-sell, relationship leadership (measured by primary product segment provider criteria).Support the development of a strategy for the sector client base. Establishing deep internal relationships across the bank, necessary to deliver global solutions. Essential skills and experience: Degree in Business, Finance, Legal or Engineering. Experience in engaging and building credibility and strong relationships with clients at Treasurer/ CFO level. Sound understanding of the industry sector and the key drivers affecting the industry. Practical knowledge of the bank's product propositions including Global Markets, Loan Markets, Structured Asset Finance and Debt Capital Markets. Successful track record of leveraging effective relationships to deliver against revenue and NPAT targets. Appropriate knowledge of risk management requirements of a major financial institution.
