GBP9.00 - GBP10.20 per hour

We have a position for a skilled assembly technician in the Special Applications Department.
Assembling bespoke life safety systems.
The applicant would ideally be:-
?? A good understanding of electrical/mechanical specifications and the ability to understand and work from schematic diagrams.
?? Familiar with basic assembly techniques.
(including: anti-static awareness, soldering, crimping, spiral wrapping)
?? Versatile to use a range of hand tools.
(including: screwing, drilling, tapping, etc)
?? Have experience in creating a custom pin-board, from scratch, to make a wiring harness from electrical and general arrangement drawings.
?? Willing to learn new assembly techniques using a variety of equipment.
?? Practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
?? Good problem solving and team working skills. Also be able to work under own initiative.
?? Preferably gained experience through a similar role.
