The Technology Faculty is entering an exciting time of expansion with growing numbers, new curriculum opportunities and a brand new, state of the art 'Advanced Technology' build.

The Plumbing team have seen a steady increase in numbers of full-time and apprenticeship learners. The area offers programmes from Level 1 to Level 3 and various part-time adult provisions. The area has recently taken on new work of installation of gas and electric Smart meters, developing a dedicated room to this provision. The College has excellent facilities which will be expanded in 17/18 and is supplemented by a dedicated Gas Assessment Centre.

As a Lecturer in Plumbing you will have excellent communication and organisational skills, coupled with excellent relevant industry experience to develop the potential of students within the area.

Subjects covered within the Plumbing curriculum include: hot and cold water supplies, sanitation, installing bathroom plumbing/heating radiators/heating controls, health & safety, working with others and customer relations.

You will teach students in the 16-19 age group who are undertaking full-time vocational courses and Apprenticeships as well as part-time 19+ students who are looking to develop their skills.

We are looking for a lecturer with a teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent), however full training can be offered to achieve qualified teacher status for the right individual wishing to enter the teaching profession.
