My client school, based in Birmingham, is looking for an English NQT to join them from the new academic year on a permanent and full time contract.

This is an exciting time to join the English department of my client school as a Newly Qualified Teacher of English. The department has been on a journey of improvement over the last two years and benefits from a team of good and outstanding teachers who are dedicated to raising the achievement of students to above national averages in all Key Stages.

The English department embrace the school's vision of 'learning and achieving together' and have student centred learning at the core of all they do. Student leadership, independent learning and quality questioning and dialogue are key themes in their current Faculty Impact Plan and these aspects help to drive the improvements in learning and teaching and achievement.

English Teachers are ambitious and fully involved in the life of the school. One of the team is in the Learning and Teaching Group, another teacher leads the Literacy Hub and another teacher is an accredited moderator who links with our partner primaries to lead joint moderation exercises.
The English department is currently within the Communications Faculty, made up of English and Modern Foreign Languages. They work closely with their colleagues in languages and are looking forward to the opportunities that working within a wider Learning Cluster will bring.

If you're currently training to be a teacher and will be an English NQT in the summer then please send in a copy of your CV to Patrick at Edustaff today
