Senior Finance Manager - Cost Base; Capital Investment and MOD Accounting
Would you like to work in a prominent role under the focus of the directorship with wide exposure across the business? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Finance Manager at our site in Barrow.
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will be gain regular exposure to Business Directors and Budget Holders and regularly liaise with Senior MoD representatives. You will be responsible for the financial management of Submarines business cost base including prioritisation of capital investment, financial governance of business capital assets and interface to CAAS and MOD for cost base and QMAC related activities.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Finance Manager will involve:
Providing Financial Support to the Business Directors and Heads of Function ensuring full understanding of all financial aspects of the Business Cost Base
Acting as the principal finance inter-face with Directors, "Heads of" and also inter-face into Senior MOD representatives and CAAS for agreement of business cost recovery
Responsibility for the production and delivery of Monthly Management Reporting Phased Budget and Integrated Business Plan for cost base data
Responsibility for supporting the production of Capital Investment Finance Applications
Providing financial input and challenge into production of Budgets and Integrated Business Plan for all cost base data including prioritisation of capital investment across the business
Enacting initiatives to create a high performing Cost Base Finance team
Ensuring an appropriate control environment exists and all aspects of governance are properly considered and actioned Deputise for Head of Finance
Liaising with KPMG and CAAS audit to ensure all audit requirements are met
Your skills and qualifications as a Senior Finance Manager:
Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or relevant experience
Accounting and financial management experience, working in a variety of senior roles
Development and leadership of high performing teams
Competence in MS Excel
Experience of influencing across high level stakeholders
Experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment would be highly advantageous
Systems experience with SAP/ TM1/ BI would be advantageous
Experience of working with government contracts would be desirable
