Our client is the main provider of further and higher education in Wiltshire and is fast on its way to becoming outstanding having achieved a good Ofsted grade in June 2015.
They are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their team based in Trowbridge. The main purpose of this role is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial information, building effective partnerships with budget holders to advise and guide their financial decision making.
Your main responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing the monthly management accounts including commentaries on the I&E, balance sheet, capital and bank covenants compliance, monitoring the performance of key contracts held by the college and analysing actual variances from budget and making recommendations for action. You will also be expected to support the Management Reporting Manager, work in partnership with a range of budget holders to advise and guide them in their financial decision making and prepare certain control account reconciliations, promptly resolving all associated queries.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will hold a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). You will have a strong commercial acumen and have proven success in delivering systems improvements, efficiencies and improving value for money and you will be a strong communicator who can liase effectively at all levels. You will be capable of working as part of a team and on your own and you will hold a full UK driving licence, enabling you to travel between college campuses for business needs.
