Our client is an innovative, modern arms-length housing organisation (ALMO), created in October 2005 employing approximately 540 staff and managing 11,500 properties across the borough of Stockport.

Recognised as a Sunday Times Top 100 ‘Best Places to work in the Public Sector’ employer, they have been awarded Investors in People (Gold) status and are also thrilled to have been named UK’s Top Landlord after winning the 24Housing magazine vote.

They are now looking to appoint an IT Service Manager to join them to lead the delivery of a high-quality IT operational service to group IT users.

Contributing to the delivery of the Group IT Strategy through the ongoing design, development and delivery of a proactive IT support service to all users, you will work closely with suppliers and partners whilst leading a team of professional IT technicians to deliver a customer focused IT service which covers all aspects of access, hardware, software and support.

Motivating and developing your team and continually looking for opportunities to improve all aspects of service delivery, you must ensure optimum use of all IT end user assets, including mobiles, laptops and workstations and maintain effective supplier and partner relationships so that service is accessible and consistent at all times.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have experience of successfully managing and developing a multi-disciplined IT delivery team, a highly developed ability to understand customer and business requirements and the ability to deliver and maintain customer service excellence.  With previous experience of running an IT service desk operation and an understanding of Service Level Agreements, you will be capable of planning and introducing business improvement processes and of maintaining accurate asset management details.
