Intermediate Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor 
Southampton, Hampshire 
Salary £40,000 to £60,000 + Car / Allowance + 25 days Holiday + Pension 
 
A highly regarded building contractor based in Southampton is searching for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor. 
The business is privately owned and undertakes New Build & Refurbishment projects to public and private sector buildings. Values range upto £20 million, these included D&B and traditional forms of contract. 

You will be a knowledgeable Quantity Surveyor from a main contracting background. One who is charismatic when dealing with clients and their professional teams, but also firm when required. You will be commercially savvy with a focus on maximising profit. 
 
You will be responsible for all aspects of quantity surveying from early construction phases including measurement, valuation, CVRs and managing payment applications throughout the project to final accounts. 
 
Candidate requirements: 
5+ years' experience within the UK construction industry 
Main Contracting QS background Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills 
Experience of working with NEC or JCT forms of contracts 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject 
Ambition and desire to succeed 
Working towards or accredited with RICS or CIOB.
