LOCATION: Leeds, West Yorkshire and surrounding areas
JOB TITLE: Service Engineer
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary dependent on experience plus Company vehicle provided and Initial and ongoing product and self-improvement training programmes
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Friday
THE COMPANY: Our client is part of an international manufacturing organisation that supplies highly engineered decontamination equipment and services to the healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory and research sectors. Our client work to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
Due to our client being a leader in their field and due to continued growth are now looking to expand their team of experienced Service Engineer's where you will be home based and will travel throughout the UK and would involve spending time away from home regularly.
THE ROLE: As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for working on a range of equipment including Steam Sterilizers, Instrument Washer Disinfectors, Endoscope Washer Disinfectors, and on Steam Generation plants.
Key Responsibilities for the Service Engineer's role in Leeds, West Yorkshire and surrounding areas:
- Be resourceful, show initiative, and can deal with multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Be tasked with performing commissioning, validation, planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown and repair activities to products located at customers' premises
- Be home based and you will travel throughout the UK; this post involves spending time away from home regularly
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Service Engineer's position must be have a minimum of an ONC or City and Guilds qualification in relevant Engineering subjects and must have significant experience with automated systems, steam, compressor, pumps or other relevant industries. You must have completed a time served apprenticeship or have relevant working experience in a similar role and must have experience of working within an ISO registered environment. It is essential you have valid UK driving licence, good IT skills, excellent communication skills and have the Self-motivation and the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Service Engineer's role in Leeds, West Yorkshire and surrounding areas :-
- Minimum of an ONC or City and Guilds qualification in relevant Engineering subjects essential
- Significant experience with automated systems, steam, compressor, pumps or other relevant industries
- Must have experience of working within an ISO registered environment
- Valid UK Driving Licence is essential
- Must have Good IT Skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office packages
