They are now seeking to appoint a Group Utility Services Manager to join them on a full time, permanent basis.  This role can be based at either our Bardon or Newcastle-upon-Tyne office but could also be based at any other Barratt Division in the UK, for the right candidate.

Within this role, you will support Barratt Developments PLC in developing and delivering new consistent processes/procedures in the procurement of utility infrastructure services to housebuilding sites.  This will include assessing difficult competitive utility company charges and making recommendations.  You will also be responsible for responding to Government consultations/white papers.

In order to succeed in this role, it is essential that you possess a Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject related to utilities and have substantial experience in utility service management.  With experience of working as a consultant to a utility organisation, you should also have good knowledge of how all utilities are planned and procured on housebuilding sites.

Due to the nature of this role, a willingness to travel routinely throughout the UK and a full UK driving licence is essential.
