About the Finance Manager role

The position of the Finance Manager involves proactive management of the businesses financial controls and our global statutory and regulatory processes, ensuring the accurate execution of timely and accurate statutory reporting. The role will report directly to the Financial Controller with two direct reports.

The Yachts business is an extremely exciting part of the Travelopia Group, operating a global fleet of over 900 boats, selling to a worldwide market. The position is a key role within the financial control team with opportunity to progress within the business.

Main Duties of our Finance Manager

- Management of the production of the annual statutory accounts to completion for the UK companies and being the direct point of contact for the audit ensuring finalisation of the audits and reports.

- Responsible for management of overseas statutory and regulatory processes to ensure on time and accurate filing.

- Management of two direct reports, organising roles and responsibilities, work plans, timetables and deadlines and aspects of staff management of the team including training and development, performance evaluations.

- Responsibility for the balance sheet reconciliation process.

- Produce monthly analysis of balance sheet movements within the Yachts business.

- Assisting in the development of business financial processes and ensuring they are regularly maintained.

- Proactively seeking to maintain and improve all financial controls, ensuring the processes are fully documented, frequently reviewed, updated and communicated as appropriate across the Yachts group.

- Responsible for ensuring the UK VAT returns are completed accurately and on-time and management of the overseas VAT returns.

- Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations

- Assisting in the restructure of subsidiary entities.

- Undertaking any other duties relevant to the key tasks and responsibilities identified by the Financial Controller.

Key Skills & Requirements of our Finance Manager

- ACA qualified, with some post practice experience

- Experience with statutory accounts and regulatory returns

- Experience with foreign currencies and working with multiple entities

- Intermediate Excel expertise (i.e. v-lookup, pivot tables)

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and manage various projects at once

- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure

- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite preferred

- Experience with HFM, Dynamics AX 9.0 and Business Objects is beneficial

- A passion for holidays and travel is a big advantage.
