Assistant Accountant

We are pleased to be working with one of our clients based South of Derby who we have successfully worked with on previous occasions. They are now looking for an Assistant Accountant - someone who has had a couple of years all round accounts experience and MUST have at least one years' experience with SAP

Working as part of a small team this position will see you having an extremely varied workload as you will be preparing accounts for more than one business.

Some of the duties you will have responsibility for will include:

* Producing a set of management accounts
* Preparing forecasts and cashflow
* Some budget preparation
* Full analysis of WIP monthly
* Fixed assets
* Accruals and prepayments
* Bank recs (monthly)
* Balance sheet recs
* Maintenance of the Purchase Ledger including BACS runs
* Sales Ledger maintenance
* Occasional chasing of debt
* Processing timesheets
* Processing expenses

Who should apply?

This role needs someone who has as much of the experience above as possible. Some training can be given but you will need to have worked in accounts for a good couple of years in a similar varied role. You need to be PC literate - Excel is used daily.
