Merchandiser required. My client is a leading Manufacturer & Distribution to the construction industry who due to extensive growth are now seeking a Merchandiser to join their team. This position would suit a candidate with a proven Procurement background gained within a Manufacturing or Retail environment.
The ideal Procurement Coordinator will provide key account support to stores and will be responsible for growing sales through innovative strategies. The successful Merchandiser will be responsible for effective stock management and ensure all products are displayed to the correct standard and have 100% availability. The Procurement Co-ordinator will provide product training as required and analyse data to gauge new business opportunities.
In this position the Merchandiser will monitor performance against budgets, implement action plans as required and will have experience of SAP & CRM software. The ideal candidate will also visit locations across the south in this field based opportunity with overnight stays as required.
Merchandiser Position Overview
- Ensure effective stock management and 100% product availability
- Analyse data to promote sales and implement strategies to hit targets
- Carry out Product training and coaching as required
- Visit stores on a regional basis and ensure products are displayed to correct standard
- Utilise information to make effective decisions and increase sales
Merchandiser Position Requirements
- Proven experience from a Procurement, Retail or Manufacturing environment
- Strong communication, organisational & planning skills
- Be prepared to carry out physical work as required
- IT Literate including the use of SAP & CRM software
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willing to undertake regional travel with possible overnight stays
- Previous sales & business experience (would be an advantage)
Merchandiser Position Remuneration
- Salary GBP18,000 - GBP24,000K (dependent upon experience)
- 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays)
