We now have an excellent opportunity for Experienced Costs Negotiators based in Leeds.

As an experienced Costs Negotiator you will have proven experience of handling a varied caseload of costs related matters, specifically including non-portal PL costs.

You will handle a full caseload of pre-litigated non-portal costs matters through to settlement and will be responsible for disputing costs bills and undertaking negotiations of profit costs and disbursements. You will also be able to understand and apply relevant case law.

You will be a strong negotiator, self-motivated and pay attention to detail and be able to work well within a service level driven environment without compromising technical ability.

About you:

You'll have experience in dealing with costs negotiations both written and verbally. You will also:

  • Experienced in handling costs matters.
  • Have strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organisation.
  • Be qualified to a minimum of A level standard, preferably working towards or with an interest in CILEx/ CILA.
  • Be able to apply a thorough knowledge of current case law.
  • An understanding of the FCA and how it relates to your role within the business
  • Good keyboard skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A team player.
