Lead Credit Risk Strategy Analyst - Northampton / London
Permanent role
Salary - £40k - £55k DOE.
A role that will give you full exposure to the varied areas of the Credit Risk Lifecycle with an internationally established retail bank. Whilst developing your impressive analytical skills you will also be engaging with senior stakeholders, influencing on-going communications with the CRO, MD and commercial heads.
Your role
Focusing within Acquisitions, existing customer management and high risk account management - the purpose of this role is to drive insight into credit performance and to build and optimise credit strategies.
Working alongside a team of 5 analysts, within a wider team of 50, you will use tools such as SAS and SQL to drive insight from data which you will then use to formulate proposals that address areas of weakness and/or optimise performance. Your work will have a direct impact on the bank's credit risk strategy - some of the areas you will be responsible for generating strategy for would include: score cut-offs, policy rules, eligibility criteria and process.
Person Specification
* Well-developed analytical skills, with prior evidence of sophisticated financial analysis techniques.
* Excellent Excel Skills (VBA knowledge is a bonus).
* Solid Experience in data manipulation (e.g. SQL/SAS coding)
* Desire to proactively maintain and improve specialist skills to remain at top standard.
* Ability to create and implement project task plans to accomplish business plan objectives.
* Team player, with good communication skills.
