Technical Manager - Raw Materials - Taunton - GBPExcellent

My client, a producer of prepared food for top UK grocery retailers is currently looking to recruit a Raw Materials Technical Manager for their large site in Chard, Somerset.

The role of Raw Materials Technical Manager will be to manage raw materials and packaging coming into the site and actively working with suppliers and internal cross functional teams to ensure quality and legal standards are maintained.

The Site Raw Materials Technical Manager will manage a team of six staff and will report into the Head of Technical. You will be expected to carry out a number of tasks including:

- Ensuring site technical systems are in place ensuring that the company specifications are met

- Maintenance of the supplier database and supplier audit information, requesting accreditation certificate and reports for suppliers

- Conducting supplier visits regarding any quality issues and following up to ensure any issues have been dealt with correctly

- Managing the Raw Material intake team

- Carrying out Internal audits of site systems

The successful Technical Manager / Quality Manager

- Will have relevant Technical / Quality Raw Material experience

- Educated to degree level in a food related discipline

- Lead Auditor

- Advanced HACCP

- Knowledge of JS TSA / HARA policy would be helpful
