As the Project Development Manager R&D, you will oversee our client’s product and process development activities. Specifically, you will project manage all R&D activities related to business change initiatives, from initiation through to implementation and launch.
 
Working with functions across the business, you’ll manage the R&D team’s project workload and priorities, including innovation and packaging changes, ensuring that they are completed within time, cost and quality parameters.
 
You’ll form cross-functional teams to deliver project briefs and facilitate the definition of project scopes, goals, tasks and resource requirements.
 
Additionally, you’ll strive to minimise waste and unwanted complexity to the business system and promote best practice.
 
Your other duties will involve:
 
- Promoting a strong work ethic within your team
- Delivering projects in-line with internal processes
- Ensuring that risk assessment and contingency planning takes place
- Maintaining project documentation and reporting
- Ensuring full visibility of the R&D teams resource plan
 
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you’ll need:
 
- Proven line management experience
- Project management experience
- A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific discipline
 
Strategic and commercially astute, as the Project Development Manager R&D, you’ll be able to lead and engage with employees at all levels. You’ll also be an adept problem-solver with excellent communication and presentation skills.
