The Port of Call is an imposing detached pub located in a large residential area of Blyth approximately one mile from the town centre. Blyth is a town in Northumberland 15 miles North of Newcastle upon Tyne with a population of about 37,000. The pub is ideally placed to be a destination food pub or a venue that specialises in functions due to its size, layout and various trading rooms.

Trading style

The Port of Call is a large multi room site that can cater for family dining, local socialising, large functions and other live events. The pub has historically traded fantastically with great weekly trade as well as being very popular as a wedding venue with many bookings being taken in the summer season. The pub would benefit from engaging with local sports teams and introducing a vibrant family dining environment which can be well serviced from its well equipped commercial kitchen. Externally there is a lawned area surrounding the pub with benches and a large car park for up to 40 cars. The pub is in good condition and could trade with minimal work.

Trade accomodation

The trading area consists of three defined spaces. The rear of the pub has a large function room seating up to 150 people which when prepared for weddings is spectacular. The front of the pub has the main trading bar with a pool area and decked alfresco facility as well as a lounge which is more suited to couples as they can sit next to a real open fire.
