As a Manufacturing Engineer with Altran, you will be fundamental to our ability to deliver to our customers and clients. Our customer expectations are high, as such we are looking for adaptive driven people to deliver on time to required quality.
You will possess creative problem-solving skills in a team environment and comfortable with communicating clearly and efficiently throughout varying levels of both the customer and Altran businesses. Due to the nature of the assignments undertaken by Altran you will work in an environment that promotes autonomy and initiative, requiring a flexible attitude. Above all, you will have a desire to progress.
Responsibilities:
* Defining 'Best Practice' or applying existing methods of manufacture to new work packages
* Developing manufacturing technology solutions
* Analysing technical problems and exercising professional judgement. Provide concise justification for decisions and record salient information. Objectively assess quality of advice and decisions once facts are established
* Liaising with internal and external networks of fellow specialists to further understanding of the specialist subject
* Engaging suppliers, experts and operators to ensure all equipment is correctly specified to robustly carry out its operations in line with customer specifications
* Identify where the Altran Managed Service can further benefit the customer
Skills and Qualifications:
* Route cause analysis to quality issues including the manipulation of data
* Experience of working within an engineering function
* Problem solving with an engineering focus
* Cradle to grave project management experience (small or large scale)
* Experience of quality processes would be advantageous
* Knowledge of technical drilling processes would be beneficial to this role
* Knowledge of composite materials manufacturing would be beneficial to thisrole
* MEng or MSc (2:1 or above plus A Levels in Maths and Science)
* Other engineering qualifications will be considered
