Machine Learning / Data Scientist Internship

Want to be part of an exciting travel start-up who are shaking things up? This company has been recognised as 1 of the UK's 50 hottest scale ups and are seeking a Machine Learning / Data Scientist Intern to join the group and work on their ongoing Travel + Hotel DNA project based in London.

Travel + Hotel DNA is it's keystone technology to (1) recommend products (e.g. destinations, hotels, tours) as well as advise (e.g. things to do etc) (2) recognize Travel DNA profiles and translate this into predictions (3) translate content, (4) forecast demand for products and so much more.

The London office is a key innovation hub for the company and this project is helping the travel industry perform better.

The internship will involve working on the deployment of innovative algorithms and tracking for the modeling and analysis of data. The ideal candidate will be expected to work in research areas such as probabilistic modeling, surrogate model optimization or scalable machine learning methods. Challenges will involve dealing with very large data sets and creating complex rule sets, working with design constraints that may arise from, for example, hardware implementation or latency requirements. You will also be involved in end-to-end testing and loading content.

They are offering a creative machine learning / data scientist intern the chance to work on a voluntary basis to build up your experience and expand your CV. They will mentor you and support you at the start of your career journey.

Training and continuous support will be provided. Excellent written and verbal communication is essential.

The internship is for a minimum 3 month+ period. This is an unpaid voluntary role to gain experience but your lunch and travel expenses will be covered. There is a possibility for the role to become permanent, at a minimum they will provide referrals and references for your work.

You will also be given the opportunity to stay in some of the best hotels around the world on industry rates or for free.
