As the General Manager, you will oversee our client’s operations, production, customer fulfilment and service, purchasing, shipping and receiving functions. 

Working in an entrepreneurial manufacturing environment, you will lead, coach and develop a team of Engineering, Inside Sales, Commercial and Manufacturing Managers. You will give employees the support and guidance they need to achieve objectives and reach their full potential. 

You’ll manage all activities with customer satisfaction and fulfilment in mind, ensuring that high quality goods are produced on time. 

Additionally, your duties will involve: 

- Assisting with the development of customer proposals, contract negotiations, major vendor contracts and major capital purchases 
- Helping to develop facility-specific strategic plans 
- Ensuring compliance with customer requirements and contract obligations 
- Supporting sales activities by working with customers to determine requirements, craft solutions and resolve problems 
- Developing your team to ensure they are financially responsible and understand P&L 

To be considered, you’ll need: 

- Extensive experience in a manufacturing, engineering or technical sales environment with significant managerial experience 
- A background in aerospace manufacturing 
- Customer service experience 

As the General Manager, you will have a professional, positive attitude and a passion for developing and leading others. Organised and analytical, you will also have exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities. 

Experience of managing P&L would be beneficial, as would experience of Lean Six Sigma. Experience of elastomer, polymer and/or rubber technologies would also be an advantage, as would a bachelor’s degree.
