We currently have a number of exciting vacancies within our Retail Team on a seasonal basis.

The Role:

Our Seasonal Retail Assistants work in all areas of Retail at the Zoo – you could be working in our gift shop, our kiosks or our busy warehouse. Duties will include delivering the highest standards of customer service, sales, visual merchandising of products, upselling, welcoming guests, unit cleaning, cash handling, stock control and replenishment.

The ideal candidates will:

• Have previous experience of working in a fast paced retail environment
• Be passionate about excellent customer service and be a strong communicator
• Be confident, flexible and approachable with a “can do” attitude
• Enjoy exceeding targets and up-selling

Flexibility in these roles is key; therefore candidates must have the following availability:

• Able to work up to 5 days out of 7 including weekends and Bank Holidays
• Able to work weekends (including Bank Holidays) and School Holidays

Contracts will be offered on a minimum of an 8 or a 20 hour per week basis depending on availability, but hours of work may be significantly more during busy periods.

We are pleased to confirm that we will be offering higher than the National Living Wage regardless of age, the rate of pay for this role will be £7.60 per hour.

If successfully shortlisted, you will need to be available to attend an assessment centre between 29^th April and 2^nd May 2017, with the positions due to start on Thursday 11^th May 2017.

Candidates must be aged 16 or over as of 1^st July 2017, and have completed their Year 11 studies.
