The time is upon us once again. As part of our continued growth plans at Boots Hearingcare we are now looking for future stars in Hearing Aid Audiology to join our Foundation Degree Programme which will enable you to become one of our successful Audiologists with a rewarding career.

What you’ll be doing…

As a student on our fully-funded Foundation Degree Course you will enrol on a 12 month course run by our Learning and Development Team who are partnered with Aston University. You will work out of one of our fabulous stores gaining experience working in a client facing environment, whilst also undertaking studies to become a fully qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist and enjoy a career with Boots Hearingcare.

The skills you’ll need

In our Foundation Degree Students, we look for candidates who;

  • have a passion for audiology as well as a desire to keep up to date knowledge and be seen as an expert in hearing care
  • always put the customer first and will draw on strong interpersonal skills and deep knowledge to provide the very best solution
  • have the ability to work independently to maintain and develop their own centres whilst building strong relationships with other healthcare professionals
  • are articulate and professional and can communicate effectively at all levels
  • have a full clean driving licence and are willing to relocate anywhere in the UK post qualification

The Foundation Degree Programme will commence in July 2017 to qualify in June 2018, and training will form a mixture of home learning, attending Aston University in Birmingham and working in stores.

Remuneration:                           Salary during training will be £15,000 - £17,000 per annum plus £3,000 car allowance.  Post qualification OTE will be £26,000 per annum plus car allowance.

Annual leave entitlement starting at 20 days plus bank holidays, rising with length of service increments to a maximum of 30 days plus bank holidays.

Contract Type                            Upon successful qualification you will be offered a permanent contract as an Audiologist.  We will try to offer you a store close to where you live but as part of fully-funding your qualification we may require you to relocate on qualification to fill key stores where customers require an audiology service.

Location:                                   We are looking for people who are mobile across the UK.
