Java Developer

Our client, a fantastic, ever growing company based in Camberley, Surrey, are currently recruiting for a Java Developer to join their team of talented developers on a permanent basis.

The successful Java Developer will be responsible for working within an Agile environment to support, develop, and maintain web applications and software using Java, Spring and Hibernate, as well as many other modern day technologies

Key responsibilities for a Java Software Engineer:

- Efficient design of enterprise quality software, using established design patterns
- Proactive involvement in code reviews, testing and bug fixing
- Continuous improvement of existing code base
- Design bespoke software and applications using Java
- Supporting client upgrades

Key skills and experience:

- Minimum of 2 years? experience in a similar position
- Strong Java, web application and XML experience
- Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, or other similar relational database
- Past success in web application development
- Spring & Hibernate experience is essential
- GWT or Grit would be advantageous
