Social Media Account Director


A leading PR and marketing agency are on the lookout for an Account Director to join the team. The agency work across digital and PR with an increasing focus on multi-platform social media campaigns, they work with many high profile consumer brands across food, drink and lifestyle creating forward thinking social campaigns for their clients.

The role requires a creative and strategic Account Director who is capable of delivering social content for clients, candidates should have an understanding of consumer trends and have the competency to recommend strategic direction in a fast moving, rapidly evolving market. The role will involve working with clients from initial pitch and new business stage, advising them on strategy and managing expectations through the delivery process. You will also be a central point of contact after campaign delivery, analysing campaign performance and presenting to clients.

Candidates should have experience across social, paid and organicvia multiple platforms. The client is looking for candidates with an agency background, preferably PR or a social media focused agency. It would be beneficial if candidates had some experience working with consumer brands, specifically food, drink and lifestyle brands.

The agencies clients are responsive to cutting edge, creative social media campaigns that can help them achieve their business aims, and as such an Account Director capable of helping clients understand new social trends and how they can be implemented is paramount.

Responsibilities include:

  • - Devising social strategy
  • - Devising content strategy
  • - Working closely with clients, understanding their business aims
  • - Building and maintaining client relations
  • - Writing and scheduling social content
  • - Overseeing social campaign delivery
  • - Commissioning creative content
  • - Implementing and managing paid social campaigns
  • - Producing social performance reports
  • - Working with team on new business proposals
  • - Keeping the team updated with new trends with social
  • - Keeping clients aware of new trends and tools and how they can be utilised

Requirements include:

  • -3+ years within a client facing digital / social role
  • - Understanding of multiplatform strategies and how social can fit
  • - Ability to deliver social campaigns, from initial pitch to ongoing analytics
  • - Ability to manage multiple client relationships
  • - Beneficial to have sector experience - food, drink, FMCG
  • - Ambitious, strategic, creative approach
