General Manager - Heritage Venue
To bring leadership skills and commercial flair to a significant landmark building in the beautiful world heritage city of Bath
This is a unique opportunity to take a leadership role for an important historic building during an exciting period of heavy investment and innovation.
The building has served the community in which it sits for many hundreds of years as well as acting as a major tourist attraction. This places specific challenges in the way the building operates to satisfy the needs of a diverse range of users and in the balance needed to fulfil both commercial and non-commercial requirements.
The General Manager will assume overall responsibility for setting and delivering upon a commercial and operational strategy to increase revenue and improve levels of operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have held a senior position successfully running a complex operation profitably and be able to demonstrate vision, creativity and leadership. Experience may have been gained in a range of environments which could include; venue and event management, facilities management, hotel and tourism, charities or in other multi-use destinations, particularly ones with a strong heritage connection
