Overall purpose of the job:

The Production Technician will have experience of carrying out assembly or test operations in an Engineering environment. Working as part of a team to undertake day to day duties, whilst adhering to health and safety rules. You shall work at various stations set out in the production facility, following defined day to day deliverables set out by the manager and supervisory staff.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • To maintain a high standard of the cell's output by reviewing incoming parts and subassemblies into the cell, monitoring the process of parts through the cell / standard of parts produced.
  • Take responsibility for the capacity and yield of the applicable production station.
  • Document results and data accurately and legibly to a high standard.
  • To assist in the successful implementation of on-going Lean Initiatives and Continuous Improvement Programs
  • Reporting plant or machinery breakdowns to supervisor and management.
  • All relevant Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times, Including Risk Assessments, CoSHH Assessments, and MSDS's
  • To undertake any other duties as required, together with general housekeeping, such that the department and associated areas are maintained in an efficient, safe and clean condition, thus providing a safe and efficient working environment
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain Customer Excellence relevant to the department.
  • Ability to follow SOP's, Work Instructions
  • All other duties assigned by management

Skills and Experience

  • The candidates will have experience of carrying out assembly or test operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • A good work ethic, team working skills, flexibility and willingness to learn are essential
  • A flexible approach to work duties and working hours are required along with excellent attendance and timekeeping
  • It is essential that candidates have a good command of English and are able to communicate as part of a team
