Milton Keynes College are looking to appoint a dynamic and creative expert to join the Customer & Service Industries team as a Course Team Leader for Catering & Hospitality.
As a dynamic individual with outstanding professional cookery skills, you will use your current industry experience to inspire and motivate our up and coming professional chefs. You will be a professional and hardworking individual with an interest in working with a dedicated and passionate team of professionals.
This exciting opportunity will enable you to support our award winning AA rosette Brasserie restaurant managers to continue to grow its outstanding reputation within the community and industry nationally.
The Brasserie has become a popular dining destination within Milton Keynes, and many students trained here have gone on to work at many renowned establishments including Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons, The Savoy, The Grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva and The Lanesborough Hotel in London. Our students thrive learning in a creative environment influenced by professionals providing their expert knowledge and experience.
As the successful candidate for the position of Course Team Leader: Catering & Hospitality, you will possess the following essential knowledge, skills and experience;
- Hold a Level 3 Professional Cookery qualification
- Ideally hold a Level 3 Food Safety qualification
- Evidence of continuing commitment to self-development through courses and work undertaken
- Strong curriculum knowledge, course leadership and team working that delivers multiple and diverse teaching methods
- Accountable for high quality student outcomes on the courses you manage
- A strong track record of good or better teaching and learning delivery across a range of levels, attaining high quality student outcomes
- Relevant industry experience and a willingness to maintain it
- Experience of course design and assessment that meets awarding body requirements
- Ability to embed the importance of English & Maths through subject delivery
- An ability to engage and motivate students to deliver high performance outcomes in a further education environment

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum
Salary: GBP26,216 - GBP33,232 per annum
Location: Bletchley Campus
